Jessie Becker Alexander is the co-founder and founding CEO of Alydia Health, a medical device company aiming to redefine the treatment for postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), the #1 cause of maternal death in the world. Alydia Health was acquired for $240M by Merck on behalf of Organon. As a result of her work at Alydia Health, she was named one of “Forbes 30 Under 30 in Healthcare” in 2015 and honored as the first recipient of Cal Poly’s College of Business Green Award. Previous to Alydia Health, Jessie was instrumental in starting the entrepreneurial movement at Cal Poly. As a founding member of the Cal Poly Entrepreneurship Club, and one of the first employees of the Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), she created and led programs for student entrepreneurs. Most notably, she ran the first two Accelerator programs for the HotHouse, a business incubator and accelerator for both Cal Poly and the San Luis Obispo business community.
Currently, Jessie works as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Sac State’s Carlsen Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, dreaming up and executing new programs to supporting the growth of Sacramento’s entrepreneurship community.
